We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic nurse, an excellent communicator with the ability to thrive in a busy environment.
The duties of the School Nurse include (but are not limited to):
- Attending to pupils who take ill during the school day.
- Communicating with parents and staff as necessary, you will be the first point of contact
- Maintaining communication with relevant external agencies
- Raising whole school awareness of issues that can have a negative effect on student health (such as smoking, alcohol and drug abuse)
- Supporting children with medical needs such as asthma, diabetes, epilepsy or mental health problems.
- Supervision of medicines brought in to School by students.
- Preparing and reviewing school medical policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
